The Loudoun Youth Initiative: www.loudounteens.org

The Loudoun Youth Initiative (LYI) is a consortium of involved citizens representing Loudoun County's government, business, faith-based, educational, community and youth organizations, who are committed to coordinating and implementing Loudoun County's substantial resources to address challenges identified by Loudoun's youth.

Loudoun Literacy Council: www.loudounliteracy.org

The Loudoun Literacy Council is a community-based, nonprofit, educational organization dedicated to improving literacy throughout Loudoun County. We recruit and train volunteers to teach adults, both native-speakers and speakers of other languages, to read, speak, write, and understand English. For children, we provide early literacy enrichment for at-risk preschool children and children who reside in our local homeless shelters, while supporting their parents as their child's first teacher. Our classes and programs are available to all who reside or work in Loudoun County.
 

Treasures for Life: www.treasuresforlife.net

Treasures for Life is privately-operated thrift/consignment shop that was established to benefit local charities through the resale of donated and consigned items, such as gently-used clothing, furniture, electronics, household goods, etc. Treasures for Life accepts tax-deductible donations from concerned individuals and organizations, and then offers them for resale at a minimal cost to local residents. Donors can designate which participating charity they wish to support, and a portion of the proceeds from the resale of their donated/consigned items then goes to support the designated non-profit charitable organization. Proceeds from undesignated donations/consignments are distributed equally among the participating charities.
